Celebrating 30 Years of Senior Care with Compassion
Element Care, a leader in providing comprehensive senior care in Massachusetts, commemorates its 30th anniversary at the upcoming Healthcare from the Heart Gala. Set to take place on October 23, 2025, at The Seaport Hotel, this gala recognizes the organization's unwavering commitment to helping older adults live independently in their communities.
The event will be highlighted by inspiring speeches from notable figures including Robin Lipson of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Aging and Element Care's CEO, Doug Thompson. Both will share heartfelt stories of how the organization has made a significant impact on the lives of its participants and their families through dedicated care and support.
Recognizing Exceptional Contributions
During the gala, two prestigious awards will be presented. The Founder’s Award will honor Beth Babcock, celebrated for her influential leadership in creating transformative programs for elder care. Additionally, the Senior Impact Award will recognize Alan Solomont, a former U.S. Ambassador, for his contributions to health and eldercare, which have positively affected seniors across the region.
Element Care and the Importance of Integrated Senior Care
Element Care operates the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), which simplifies healthcare for seniors by bringing various medical services under one roof. This model is crucial, especially as the senior population in Massachusetts grows, with 1.2 million residents aged 65 and older by 2023, a significant increase since 2010.
PACE addresses the complex needs of older adults, especially those battling chronic conditions. With approximately 93% of older adults managing at least one chronic illness, integrated care models like PACE are essential. They facilitate better care management, linking seniors to the medications, support, and health services they need to thrive.
The Impact of Care on the Community
Through its 30 years of service, Element Care has cared for over 1,150 PACE participants and 1,900 Senior Care Options (SCO) members, working tirelessly to ensure that elderly individuals do not feel isolated during their health journeys. This holistic approach not only alleviates burdens for families but also empowers seniors, enabling them to maintain control over their health care.
Join the Celebration
The gala marks a beacon of hope and a reminder of the importance of supporting older adults within our communities. As Element Care looks to the future, it aims to expand its reach and continue providing the essential services that allow seniors to live fulfilling lives. Join us in celebrating this milestone and promoting the health and well-being of our elders.
For anyone seeking integrated solutions for senior care, whether through PACE or other programs, this anniversary signifies a commitment to excellence in elder health services. Let's support initiatives that ensure seniors have access to the care they deserve.
